For great Christmas ducks, we’ve partnered up with our friends at Gressingham. Their ducks are renowned amongst restaurant chefs as the perfect breed for roasting. A cross of Wild Mallard and Pekin, originating from the village of Gressingham in Lancashire in 1980, the breast meat is firm and gamey and the leg meat flavoursome and intense. This hamper, delivered on either the 20th or 21st December (it's up to you!), is full of flavour, perfect if you fancy a change from the traditional Bronze turkey, with everything you need for a proper, tasty Christmas Dinner:
- 2 x 2.2kg Gressingham ducks (including giblets) from farms across Norfolk and Suffolk
- 454g versatile chipolatas
- 350g dry-cured streaky bacon
- 454g premium ground sausagemeat
- 150g free range Cambridgeshire goose fat
- A recipe booklet and thermometer courtesy of our friends at Gressingham
- Something to help ease the wallet in the New Year
These two delicious birds, along with all the trimmings (which, as with all of our fresh meat, are all free-range and native breed, sourced from some of our favourite local, independent farmers) will serve 8-10 hungry guests. All of our festive boxes are delivered fresh to your door in the days leading up to Christmas. Our Christmas delivery dates are Thursday 20th and Friday 21st December. If you’re out when your delivery arrives, our drivers will leave your order with your neighbours or in a safe place of your choosing - please specify at the checkout.
