Steak sandwich

Heartier's ultimate steak & cheddar baguette

Ingredients:

Heartier Skirt steak (or you could use flatiron)
50g grated mature cheddar
2 baguettes
Butter
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Fresh lettuce leaves
2 finely sliced fresh tomatoes

Method:

Feel free to follow our 10 steps to cook the perfect steak!

1. Heat the oil to a high temperature in a heavy bottomed pan
2. Fry steak for 2 - 3 minutes on each side
3. Rest somewhere warm
4. Prepare your baguette (if you wish this can be warmed in the oven with the cheese to melt) with the butter, lettuce and tomatoes, along with any condiments of your choice
5. Slice the steaks across the grain and lay the strips on the baguette, sprinkle over grated cheddar and serve immediately with home-made paprika & herb sweet potato fries
