What do you enjoy about working at Heartier?

I've always had a huge interest in food, spending any spare time I have experimenting in the kitchen; cooking everything from real comfort food to trying my hand at some more complicated techniques and recipes. I was lucky enough to grow up with a fantastic local butcher very close to me, a trip there every Saturday morning to pick up the meat for Sunday’s roast was always exciting. These factors combined to make Heartier a perfect fit for me - a chance to work with butchers across the country to provide high quality, ethically sourced meat to anyone who wants it.

Favourite recipe for...

Cooking for others: A platter of beautifully cooked tomahawk steak with whipped goats cheese is a great (and pretty quick) way to show off in the kitchen!

Quick weeknight meal: Tandoori chicken with a red onion salad - quick, easy and healthy. 

Treat: Flatiron steaks with guasacaca - I am a millennial after all, so need to get some avocado involved!

Comfort food: Vietnamese style lamb shank is the perfect Sunday evening comfort food, just chuck it in a pan and leave to cook. Super easy, even on a hangover…
